  1. How can I get a local PI firm to replay to my emails. I’m in TN and the only way I can become a PI is to apprentice at an established agency or start my own. I have no LE experience so starting my own firm is a no-go unless I do so with my brother (he’s a cop) who likely won’t be interested. I’ve sent out emails and feelers but have received no replies.

    • Hi Randy,

PI firms are all about trust and larger firms are more about their future employees having experience. Once in a while you can find a company willing to train new investigators. So in regards to having them reply to emails all I can recommend is being persistent.

I would also recommend trying to get hired on with a nation wide company as they are more likely to have turn over and be hiring.

If that doesn’t work I recommend starting your own company if possible. I don’t know what state your in so I don’t know if experience is preventing that.

What have you done to gain experience other then applying to firms?

      Andrew
